The challenge
The existing site no longer represented a firm that had grown past it — and the domain and hosting sat across separate accounts with separate renewal dates and no single owner. A redesign that did not also fix the infrastructure would have solved the visible half of the problem.
The approach
Redesign and re-platform together
Rather than a cosmetic refresh, we rebuilt and moved hosting and domain into managed accounts at the same time. One transition, one downtime window, one handover.
Remote delivery as standard practice, not a compromise
Design review, revision and sign-off ran entirely across timezones. Nigeria is one hour ahead of the UK — an operational advantage that makes same-day turnaround straightforward, and one Nigerian agencies undersell.
Continuity after launch
The engagement did not end at delivery. Hosting and domain renewal stayed with us, so the site has a maintained owner rather than becoming the client’s problem the day after go-live.
Why it matters
This is the evidence base for a claim many Nigerian agencies make and few can support: that they serve clients beyond Nigeria. One documented UK engagement is worth more than any number of assertions about the diaspora.
It also establishes something with real commercial weight. Nigerian agencies can deliver design and development work into UK and European markets at a cost structure those markets cannot match domestically — with a one-hour time difference and no language barrier. That is a business line, not an anecdote.
